What gets “unlimited chances” is the basic research. The research attempts to answer questions, not to come up with preconceived answers. The answers that come up, time, and time, and time again are GW and AGW. There is a case for CAGW, but it is less solid, and requires more rigorous investigation. As for “any actions,” I have not seen a convincing case that an aggressive energy policy converting to renewables plus nukes hurts anything except the bottom line of companies with business plans as old and adaptable as the fossils they derive their fuels from.
