Oh, on the topic of Confederate flags and douchecanoes, everyone already knows that the fishfolk are all fairly extreme conservatives. However, I was very impressed with them on one score. We went to the county fair, and on the way back, there was a cluster of teenage d-bags coming up the street. Two of them were wearing Confederate flags as capes. Without exception, everyone in our party commented on how those flags had no place in Indiana. My mom even launched into a “Kids these days” rant that made me laugh aloud.
