I’m growing kind of frustrated with the health care issues. There is a lot of pressure on the President to allow the old policies and of course Boehner and other republicans are calling for it to be shut down, delayed or whatever. And of course the media is running with all the stories about policy cancellations and all that.

What are some of the LGF Lizard opinions on this? Did Clinton’s remarks yesterday really hurt this whole thing and is going to force Obama’s hand on changes, and what would those changes be? Is the whole fundamental basis of policies that can’t be cancelled or no cut-offs after a certain amount being threatened?

And of course, my real frustration is as always, the media runs with the scare and doesn’t look into the issues behind it. I get the feeling the insurance companies are doing the cancellations to do exactly what it is doing, causing panic and forcing political change. And no one seems to bring that aspect up.

My opinion, I hope Obama can hold the fort and keep the law in place as is. Hopefully enough good can swing from it so that the pressure goes back on the insurance companies to get in line with it.

I know one thing, I do not trust the big health insurance companies. They are powerful politically and they will not go down easy.

Sometimes this country can really make a citizen depressed. What is that crap about American Exceptionalism?
