I like to joke that part of the reason why I’m so pro immigrant is I like to try new cuisines. That’s not the real reason but man I’d get bored with plain old “American food.” I mean I like things like burgers, fries, hot dogs, etc but I love trying a new cuisine whenever I can.

I think that’s an absolutely fine reason to be pro immigrant. There is little that is so culturally defining as food. Not just the ingredients but the culture around its preparation and ultimate nourishment, both physical and emotional. It’s the centerpiece of family and friendship.
