Earlier in the week (before the “we want to control women’s bodies” march), I had a colleague ask me if I knew who Ben Shapiro was. He’s philosophy faculty who’s teaching an online course in Ethics in the Tech Industry. He’s got a group of techbros in the course, which is why Shapiro came up. He said something like Ben’s a smart guy and was about to say something else (probably something about him being wrong). I interrupted and said, no he’s not.

He sounds smart if you think glib, confident bullshittery = intelligence. It’s why Conservatives love him, because he can talk fast and perform the Gish Gallop without faltering because of either honesty or shame.
