Entrapment. I Imagine the defense may argue that if the Feds hadn’t gotten involved the would be bomber may never have had the resources or will to have reached the point that he could have put people in danger.

This defense has been used before, have they ever had any luck with it? I remember the defense in one case essentially arguing that the fed informant had been the ring leader.
