that is another that I don’t get… if the average Egyptian makes less than 3K a year where did all the beamers come from?

1. A smaller middle class means fewer cars overall, and a higher percentage of more expensive cars (beemers) as opposed to average ones (ford or fiat, eg.)

2. Many of the expensive cars in 3rd world countries are in fact brought second-hand from the 1st world. A wrecked beemer in France can be sold and fixed up in Egypt for 1/2 the cost of doing so in France. Happens all the time.
