Well, I think I’ll live that long, if the nation doesn’t go broke entirely beforehand. And we don’t have to have zero deficit in order to start planning a space project, we just have to have made good progress and have a way to control the program’s costs.

Again— start cutting defense spending. Get rid of some of those bloated contracts that don’t do anything and which are years behind schedule and billions over-budget. Get rid of the weapons systems that the Pentagon doesn’t want anymore. Stop wasting billions on them.

NASA would have all the money they need, easy.
