That’s the thing I can’t get. In 2007 into 2008 there was virtually no stone unturned in trying to figure out who Obama was, who helped shape his political, social, and religious outlook, associations, linkages, etc., and he was given all kinds of heck over the Ayers and Wright associations (and still is).

I’d say he’s been sufficiently vetted and has a record on which to defend and run in 2012.

Romney is getting the kind of scrutiny in 2012 that he didn’t have in earlier campaigns, or even when as governor of Mass. Some of the stuff is getting rehashed, but new items are coming to light. Some is relevant. But the most informing stuff is who he’s currently associating with, his refusal to rebuke the extremists within his own party, and openly courting conspiracy theorists all in the name of getting to 50.1%.

I don’t disagree that the most informing stuff is who he associates with, etc., if I recall, there was lots of discussion here about Obama’s associations back when.

But honestly? The Ann Romney rides horses story? What does that have to do with anything? I found it odd.
