Just an observation that kind of ties my Darwin post at 960 with the discussions we’ve had on the self-centered nature and “I deserve it” attitude of many young people.

I’ve been driving around our town recently, and I’ve noticed a growing tendency of drivers to make a turn right in front of me, expecting me to slam on my brakes or take whatever other action needed to avoid t-boning ‘em. It used to be a rare thing, but more and more regular as time goes on.

Why does it tie those two things together? Well, first, the “I’ll do what I want to do, and screw you” attitude must come from the entitlement b.s. they’re being taught in school.

Second, in almost every case, my car is bigger, which means they’re prime candidates for the Darwin award.

(Rant off.)
