Surveillance Fail

(Wired) — A California student got a visit from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation this week after he found a secret GPS tracking device on his car, and a friend posted photos of it online.

I suppose the magnets on one of these things is bound to fail periodically. Or be attached incorrectly. If the Feebs were doing their job within the requirements of the law, I have no problem with any of this, other than that the equipment didn’t work properly.
