Thus, more and more of the electorate will be happy to vote themselves more “free” stuff. Not good.

I always thought, everyone who earns a wage, should pay something into the system, in a sense to vest them in the process.

What we have now is more akin to oligarchy bribing and buying votes out of the public treasury.
