ha, funny story. Can anybody figure out why the hell dogs love to roll in smelly stuff? That pisses me off with the boob, the worst thing so far has been a rotten Salmon, gawd he got into that thing big time before I got to him. I’ve heard they do it as a disguise, I don’t know.

Yep - thats the scientific explanation. it goes back to their wolf-ancestry, who needed to smell not like wolves when out for a successful hunt.

The worst I’ve ever seen was a freshly groomed, very pretty Westie, happily trotting along, until he spied a pile of dog-poo.
And then he even more happily rolled in it …!
