This is both ironic and troubling…

Al-Qaeda cell killed by Black Death ‘was developing biological weapons’

When I first saw those reports a few days ago, I figured it was a natural outbreak. If the new reports are true, and AQ was trying to weaponize the plague, then they are dumber than we thought.

The plague is caused by a bacteria, and is treatable with antibiotics.

In western nations, the plague would scare some people at first, but with our extensive hospital/clinic systems, and easy access to antibiotics, few would die.

In AQ’s home in the third world, with few hospitals, fewer antibiotics, and a penchant for superstitious disease treatments… many would die.

They would once again kill more fellow Muslims than evil infidels… in keeping with their long and pathetic track record. It would be funny if it weren’t so sad.
