What a wingnut thinks he needs to stop a mob of zombies/looters: 5 AR-15s (one for each hand, plus spares), grenade launcher, shotgun for diehards who get too close, pistol and commando knife to finish off the wounded, Maginot Line bunker, 2 million rounds of ammo, gas mask (since we all know looters are armed with gas bombs).

What a rational person would need to stop looters, in the unlikely event they come up the driveway: Single shot shotgun, 2 rounds of birdshot.

A few weeks back, one of my coworkers was talking about getting an AK-47 for home defense.

“Oh. Do you have a big problem with roving bands of marauding bandits around your apartment complex in your neighborhood of San Diego?”
