Are you young?

The WWII draft took every able-bodied man 18-34. All of them. Even the oldest were still voting into the 1970’s. The Korea and Vietnam drafts didn’t take as many, but they took disproportionately from poor and minority demographics.

It’s only since eliminating the draft (1975) that the military has been majority conservatives.

Of course I’m young. One of the younger members in our little family.
