What I can’t understand is why anyone uses IE when Firefox is free.

Even at work. Unless you have a fascist IT department that won’t let you install your own stuff.

That Sarbanes-Oxley requirement here at work has things really nailed down - major no-no to install your own software. It must go through IT.
