Which is absurd on its face, but just like with the Teabaggers and the right-wing Christian zealots, there’s no reasoning with some people.

While at the same time anti-Americanism still remains as does people who did not want to get rid of Gaddafi. This is my perception of the Libyan people. Not US interests. Not the perception of Americans who can’t find Libya on a map. At the same time I think the idea that this happened **just because** of an anti-Islam video only serves to feed more Islamophobia from Americans who will now think, “see, they just murdered those people because of THEIR religion.” I don’t think that’s the case. If true, the video was just a tipping point for violence based on more secular reasons such as US involvement and what some will still see as neo-colonialism.
