Now there are a few new gins to sample. Mmmm. Monkey 47 is very, very in your face and complex, but too overwhelming in some ways? I liked it but I don’t know if I’ll pay the somewhat outrageous price again.

Sipsmith smells so piney but oh man it’s going down so smooth. A really nice contrast to the Monkey 47.

Saw this article about Australian distilling and botanicals, which inevitably includes discussion of gin making.

I’m kind of obsessive about herbs and spices in both cooking and liquor, so I find the whole thing very exciting.
