Seriously. I mean, hey, if you wanna criticize the Taliban, AQ, the MB, ISIS and all the other terrorist/extremist groups, then I’m right there with you. You want to discuss that maybe some aspects of Islam need to be adjusted to the modern world we live in? Fine, let’s talk. But that’s not what some people want—they want to demonize all Muslims and collectively blame them for every bad action done by any Muslim anywhere in the world.

That’s pure bullshit and I won’t accept it for Muslims any more than I would accept it for atheists, Jews, Christians, blacks, hispanics, white Southerners, etc.

The problem is that there are few rewards for drawing those kinds of distinctions for most media figures and politicians. And attempts to draw distinctions are often quite vulnerable to being deliberately taken out of context by those seeking to make the drawer look bad.

Last, a frequent problem with trying to explain who the bad guys really are and why those who are not terror minded are different is that such explanations take too long and don’t fit into a nice, neat sound byte/ Sadly, if it requires a longish explanation then most people will never hear it.
