Finicum veers off the road to try and get around the roadblock as the officer runs off the road thinking that Finicum is going to ram the roadblock and Finicum then hits the officer. His intent was not to run over the officer, it was to get around the roadblock, therefore unintentional.

Wouldn’t hitting a police officer in that situation be foreseeable regardless? He ran a large vehicle at a significant speed at a roadblock after apparently failing to stop for a lawful traffic stop. Just because he ran the thing into the snow, he would be aware and foreseeable that a police office could be injured if the vehicle spun, flipped, etc.
