Indeed, he who was lashed to the rigging not once, but TWICE, in the course of the Battle of Mobile Bay. Mainly out of a concern from the crew that he might fall out of the rigging and get hurt, and they respected him so much that they couldn’t let that happen at a critical point in the battle.
