Cruise missiles, bombers, etc. anything that could potentially carry a nuke is not not an option… but the same delivery systems that deliver conventional weapons are now also gone. We could not do very much to protect ourselves if this treaty is ratified.

Ok, no ICBM or cruise missile (designed to carry nuclear weapons) can carry a conventional payload worth bothering about.

Stealthy manned or unmanned aircraft with precision guided weapons can deliver smaller bombs to more effect and can be used for conventional use against conventional targets.

Also, as long as we have our ballistic missile submarines at sea no first strike could knock out our retaliatory response. MAD still works, just less warheads and missiles to make the rubble bounce.

I’m less worried about a nuke in a missile (which is very hard to do) than one in the back of an 18 wheeler or in a ships cargo container.
