Interesting little piece:

Impeccable’s mission is “to directly support the Navy by using both passive and active low frequency sonar arrays to detect and track undersea threats.” (from Wiki).

Hmm…I wonder if the five Chinese vessels were trying distract her while one of their subs transited the area?

From that same Wiki article, it took NINE years to get from keel being laid to delivery to the Navy. Far too long. Hell, we went from keel to commissioning of our nuclear attack sub in 4 years!
