Assault with a deadly weapon would be a good charge to knock down from a charge of attempted murder.

Yup. Good news, though; I just found out that he’s been discharged from the hospital. According to the email, “The wound was clean and although it was deep it only needed suturing. The lung was punctured and is expected to heal on its own. He has been told that if he starts to have any trouble breathing to come back to the hospital immediately. They said he is young and healthy and gave him antibiotics.”

Of course, now I have to figure out if we’re going to go over to his apartment or not.
