Er, I took up a set of barbecue tongs and picked up the Lowes sticky trap with rat attached and tossed it onto the lawn. He was squealing loudly all the while. I turned to take up my shovel for the coup de grace when he suddenly scrip, scrap, scrambled beneath my car parked in the drive. This unnerved me for a while until I decided to move the car and have another go at it. Thank God, he was under one of the wheels so I mercifully, for both of us, pancaked him.

Folks, do not buy those sticky traps - even though they state they will anesthetize the captee. Sure, if you catch them by the nose and not the paws or the tail! Awful, awful, awful.
