Most of the strong scented animals are prey not predator. Dogs and large cats will roll in the spoor of their intended prey to mask their own scent and make hunting easier.

Well, one of mine rolls on my husbands dirty underwear if he leaves them on the floor.
Guess you have to make do with what’s available!
