re: #100 Belafon

The st. Louis one is probably closers than the one here in dallas.

I’ve tweeted the Micro Center Twitter account before, shortly after I had made a pilgrimage to one of the Atlanta Micro Centers to get a lot of shit for a new build about three years ago (that was a long ass drive down and back to make in one day, not to mention the fucking Atlanta traffic, but I also went and ate at the Varsity downtown while I was there, so it was good) and posited this to them: I live in Nashville, a metro area of over 1.5 million people and a huge college, tech, and medical industry town, yet the closest Micro Centers to us are 3-4 hours away in three directions (St. Louis, Atlanta, and Cincinnati). I asked them if there were any plans to put one here, seeing that there really hasn’t been a decent full-on computer store in Nashville since CompUSA went under; all I got was a typical corporate non-answer that they are not planning on opening a store here, but would look into it if the market dictates (to paraphrase).

It’s a damn pity, because, even if they only opened one store here, they’d make a fucking killing.
