I thought it has always been an extremely racist rag. Among other faults.

I’ve always referred to it as “National Racists”. Used to PO the conservatives I knew in school, especially those on the debate team with me :)

We had names for all the usual magazines: Useless News and World Distortion & Newsbleat were my two favorites.
