Some of us are highly trained stabbers. The drill instructors had a wonderfully ungramattical spirit yell:

DI: “What is the spirit of the bayonet?”
All: “To kill.”
Me: “To wound.” (That’s actually in keeping with modern USATRADOC doctrine.)
