The Arab world has embraced and has been addicted to conspiracy theories long before Beck, Bachmann and company.

There was a steady stream of Occupy protesters appear on Iranian state TV talking about the American police state. I also recall Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 9-11 was a big hit in the Arab world too.
