re: #7 Dangerman
this kind of framing never sits well with me
not for any sub-group.it’s a team effort
like a sports team, not any one player.
sure sometimes someone stands outbut overall no.
no one group can do it alone.
they can be instrumental. or display outsized participation compared to their history (like a player being hot or on a streak).
but their votes are stacked on top of everyone else’s.
we all vote. we all count. because if we didnt vote, then theirs wouldnt make a damn bit of differenceeverybody pulls
in the same direction
I agree but the point here is to emphasize the unusual, black swan effect from the current youngsters. They are a new and potent force that will only get stronger the next decade. They hate the GOP and vote Democrat 2:1 when they vote. The payoffs in adding more effort here to get them out to vote will be the coup de grace in producing a landslide.
But we cannot forget EVERY group needs to be motivated to vote. Always. The last straw does not break the camel’s back without all the other straws there. Biden knows this and I expect the dems to be really effective here.
