Well, from what I’ve seen, Putin looked pretty upset about the death of Kaczynski. If we set politics aside for one moment it remains an accident. And while I may be premature like many of these accidents they’re due to pilot error. They were told not to land and made several attempts to land on a fogged in runway. They could have easily diverted. That’s all it was. One fogged in runway and one cocky pilot.

Agreed. Putin did not want this, but he will surely not let any crisis go to waste. He’s very shrewd and will move to seize any opportunity.
