re: #105 Bubblehead II
OT, but for you Tech geeks out there. Building a new computer. Just received the first parts.
A AMD Phenom II X4 3.4 GHZ (Black Edition) Processor
and the Cooler Master Hyper N520 CPU fan/heat-sink.
The Mother board will be a Gigabyte GA-78MLT with 32GB of DDR3 ram
This should be a real screaming unit when it is put together. What I really like about this mother board is that it supports all 3 types of monitors I currently use built in. VGA, HDMI and DVI. If I move the video card currently installed in my current system over to the new system, I can have up to 5 monitors.
This will allow me to.
1. Have the video from my video surveillance system displayed.
2. LGF displayed.
3. LGF Spy Displayed
4. What ever news (yeah, I’m a junkie) site I am browsing displayed.
5. Search Engine results/YouTube videos/etc. displayed.Information overload? What information overload?
My system is similar except I have 12 GB RAM, and I upgraded to a Phenom X6. The Black Edition overclocks higher than the non-BEs given the same cooler.
I suspect can only hook up 2 monitors on the built-in graphics system because the HDMI and DVI share the same bus. Check the manual when you get them and check.
