Help me out on this. I looked over the list and was blown away by the impressive credentials. I assume that APS is now weighing their request very seriously. Are we looking at the same list?

That said, I’m not into this “appeal to authority” thing anyway. But your criticism of the list has me scratching my head.

The APS has many more than 143 members, and quite a few who actually work in this or related fields, and have actual research of their own to back their opinions. The APS is not changing it’s position, because for every one of these there are ten much bigger names who say the opposite.

Again, where are these people’s papers refuting AGW?

Again, how many on this list are working for - or worked past tense, for groups that are opposed for political or economic reasons to the research?
