Another point the Supreme Court made was that the ‘35-feet rule’ was a blanket rule applied to all people opposed to abortion on all day, but large protests only tended to happen on Saturdays. Hence Chief Justice Roberts made clear that was the kind of thing the law needed to be better tailored on:
While a buffer zone is likely the only option during a large protest by religious fanatics, when there are only a few people around who are being better behaved a different more relaxed rule ought to prevail.
