Salted roads are very bad for bikes. I’ve seen aluminum spoke nipples crumble like a cookie.

There are so many lousy QR skewers out there, it’s shocking. And Trek is recalling a fork because the dropouts break, then another manufacturer who used the same fork had to explain that it’s not the fork, it’s the skewers Trek was using with them. I think it’s the ones they designed so you don’t have to loosen and tighten it to get past the lip on the dropout.

Okay if you try to read that with the standard definitions of those words… LOL… Crumbled nipples? Freaking lousy dropouts should’ve stayed in school and they wouldn’t be having this problem, and I am so sick of eating utensils being blamed for being substandard when it was actually the grilling skewers that were the problem all along.
