re: #102 The Very Reverend Battleaxe of Knowledge

Blubbering….

Really, such an amazingly feel-good story.
And not the first one I’ve heard of involving a blind animal meeting up with a helper.
I vaguely remembered another story about a blind dog and a deaf dog who bonded…and found it:

Eve, a deaf Catahoula Leopard dog, and Dillon, a blind border collie, both special needs rescues in California.

But when the blind dog and deaf dog touched noses, it was love at first sniff.

“Dillon followed Eve around, and she became his eyes. Eve normally fears other dogs, but with Dillon, she was immediately comfortable. The two loped off across the yard and started playing and rolling around together. Eve calmed down quickly and Dillon gained confidence from being around Eve.”
