This is beyond evil.

I have been to the WTC Memorial, as I’m sure many of you have. It was one of the more somber, moving experiences of my life. The things there are very, very personal. A pair of glasses, a wallet, a passport. Helmets of firefighters, police badges, pictures of every single person killed. A child’s teddy bear. Destroyed fire trucks and support beams. If you’re at all spiritual, it is a sacred space filled with objects that have deep, deep meaning to the people that carried them.

There are no guns there.

I understand this officer’s family donated this revolver to the NRA for the museum to honor him. That gun being there is not what is profane. The sick thing is the gun being honored, not the man that carried it.

I didn’t think the NRA could disturb me more than they already do, but this one crosses the line from crazy to evil.
