re: #108 Anymouse
Snowing like mad here. I started out to drive my wife to the doctor for her appointment, got as far as the railroad (four blocks) over snow-covered roads, said ânope, a routine doctor visit is not worth sixty miles one way for thisâ (and itâs supposed to snow all day). Came home, called the doc, cancelled the appointment. Doc was understanding about our situation out here in the hinterlands.
Since I still had to shovel the dirt back into my cyclone cellar after the flood from the plumbing break during our trip to California to get the inner door closed, I borrowed a coal shovel from my neighbour to do it. (The basement is still a bit muddy, but the flood is gone now.)
Managed to get the door shovelled out so I could close it. After paying $1,800 to get our plumbing repaired last week, braving the cold to secure that door didnât seem like such a bad thing to me.
Tonightâs low: -4F. Tomorrow nightâs low: -14. Night after: -8. I guess winter is here.
