Yes I suppose that’s true since the urge to do it seems to be higher in hunting dogs. My lhasas don’t do it and my old Shitzus I used to have didn’t either.

I was told it is more prevalent in dogs that are considered sight hunters. Our Akita was very very bad at doing that. Every time we took him to Fort Trumble for a walk he would have to roll in the goose poop a couple of times. He didn’t care about the geese, heck you could let him off the leash and he would just run around and not bother them.
