That’s because we have a tradition of First Ladies promoting a pet project or social cause….which is a good thing….and I support it.
Why do I get the feeling there is generic outrage and pointless squabbling? Seriously, I think the office of the First Lady is a good thing. Is it really that outrageous?

The comment of “We might as well put them to work” implies what they’re doing is a lark, whether you meant it or not.
