Well, of course Chief Belmar thinks everything his department did was appropriate. And they’d probably do it all the same way again.

He doesn’t even recognize that he’s part of the problem.

And yet, they brought out the dogs, and tear gassed people, and attacked and detained journalists covering events. So, tell me again about how the Department looked at the optics?

They never considered an option that didn’t involve putting the armored vehicles out there in the first place. Or the riot cops with the sniper rifles pointed at protesters. Or the riot cops who were aiming their guns at protesters for no cause.

But other than that, the county police did everything by the book.

Including producing a police report about the Brown shooting that includes all the pertinent details.

/just kidding - everyone knows that the county police have stonewalled on all the details and aren’t about to change their policies and procedures without federal intervention.

He’s the problem, his old school segregation mindset is the problem.
