They must have said it somewhere else. They said they would intercede if the sheriff didn’t. Does arresting them seem like the kind of thing that would de-escalate a sitch, or pour gas on a fire that isn’t lit. If they show up and approach anybody doing their job, that’s the time to arrest them. The only thing arresting them now would do is give them more power.

True. Look at the Bundy Ranch guys who went to jail for pointing loaded weapons at federal employees.
