Long story short Ski put the n word in Palin’s mouth when discussing Bristol’s ex the CMOH winner whose heroism she recently questioned. Bass took offense. A bunch of us myself included spoke up for Ski saying his intent wasn’t bad and he was just mocking Palin. I don’t think Ski meant harm but Bass is right about how ugly that word is.

Of course he meant no harm, other than maybe to Palin, but I can totally understand why support for use of the word, even from people who are not racist, is a problem for people who have dealt with racism all their lives. As much of the fault goes in trying to rationalize it being OK because a good guy said it as saying it.
