Sometimes, I don’t know why we bother.

NC Democrats just basically decided to accept serf status and agree to a lighter shade of gerrymander just so some incumbents could keep their seats.

It took an initiative in CA to turn redistricting nonpartisan, but we did it.

ETA: Also decades (started in the 1980’s).
