The “stream”* that develops between the apartment buildings here is in full run right now. A series of thunderstorms have been moving through since midnight and there are periodic very heavy rain squalls.

We had a fallen tree block a culvert and flood out several houses down on the creek, to the point that they started to collapse and had to be torn down.

Rainstorms have been growing more local and intense, and if they hit the top of a valley, that can result in intense flash flooding.
