I have asked this before and will ask it again. If Saddam was still in power while Iran was going for nukes, what would the middle east look like right now?

Saudi Arabia and Egypt would be building their own nukes, they fear Iran’s Islamist influence and Saddam’s unpredictability. Libya would have never given up its nuclear program, and Syria would be even more emboldened to continue its proliferation.

Not a pretty picture in my humble opinion.

Personally, I believe that Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordon where quietly relieved when Saddam was toppled.
