Suddenly the deaths & their disproportionate number (in a tactical context) make sense. In searching to rescue captured compatriots, special forces men and even regular soldiers become an unstoppable force. Like an up armored mama grizzly looking for cubs.

I am more convinced than ever the American was in the thick of the attack on the Israeli commandos.

And yet, when you consider that the number of wounded outnumbers the number of dead, that tells me the Israelis showed considerable restraint. If they’d wanted everybody on that ship dead, they would be dead.
