How did you get that?

It’s a subset of 5 photos stitched together from the Crystal Forest area in Petrified Forest National Park, which we were frantically trying to hike through before the skies opened up.

Seriously some of the most gorgeous thunderstorm structure (believe that to be the gust front, given the winds as during the photos) I have been privileged to witness. The clouds showed up, I was just lucky to be in the right place at the right time with a decent camera. Shooting at 18mm, f/16, 1/250 giving an ISO of 560. Would have killed for a wider angle lens there but that’s the best I’ve got at the moment.

Of course, I was less flattering about the clouds when they opened up and I had to drive the trailer through them. But I have a whole set from that hike, including that panorama. I’m thinking to get that printed on aluminum. :)
